How we handle the information entrusted to us.
This page is a working outline for your counsel to review and finalise. The structure and headings reflect what a lending institution's vendor review will expect to find; the specifics should be confirmed against your actual practices before publication.
Information we collect. Account and contact details for authorized users at client institutions, and the borrower information contained in the authorization forms submitted to us for the purpose of obtaining government records.
How we use it. Solely to retrieve the records our clients are authorized to receive and to administer the client account. We do not sell client or borrower information, and we do not use it for marketing.
How we protect it. Encryption in transit and at rest, segmented network architecture, role-based access control, and continuous logging. Our Security page describes the controls in detail.
Retention. Records and audit logs are retained in line with the requirements applicable to authorized recipients of tax information and to our clients' own compliance obligations.
Disclosure. Information is disclosed only as required to fulfil an authorized request, or as required by law.
Your choices and contact. Client administrators control user access within their own account. For privacy questions, contact us at (866) 850-4506 or via the contact page.
This outline is a starting point, not legal advice. Applicable requirements vary by jurisdiction and by the nature of the data handled, and the final text should be prepared or approved by qualified counsel before it goes live.
